Myriam Pommier

Music teacher

From a very young age, I have been passionate about languages and music. Joining the EBiHS teaching team for me is the fulfillment of those passions. I have been lucky to work in several areas for many years, such as group classes within schools, teaching during the holidays, and in private lessons with children of all nationalities.

I started playing the recorder at 6, learning music theory at 7, the piano at 8, the organ at 13 and singing at 15… At times when I was young, I found it very difficult to learn music. However, it sparked my desire to learn all the more. This interest is the reason why I have always taken care to teach students with great sensitivity, but without losing the rigor and precision that music requires. For 25 years, teaching has been a vocation and is now even more a passion!!!

I combined my passion for language and music, and found opera. I worked for 15 years at the Bayreuth Opera in Germany, during the RICHARD WAGNER festival, where I acquired a great command of German and English.

I took musicology courses at the University of Paris-Sorbonne and at the same time, received my diploma through the conservatoires of Annecy and Lyon. I obtained a gold medal in Musical Analysis, Art Aesthetics and Literature, as well as the end-of-study diplomas in musical training and classical organ.

In 2015, I added MELOPIE pedagogy to my arc of teaching. I have developed this method geared toward children starting from 3 years old, and it has turned out to be extraordinary.

For 25 years I have encouraged my students by organizing many special events such as Dinner-Concerts, auditions and shows. In addition to teaching, such projects and events help encourage everyone to maximize their talent, which is my greatest motivation.
