An unforgettable trip and lasting friendships

On Friday, April 24th, seven students from Years 7 and 8 (5e and 4e) set off for New York, then Providence, for eight days they’ll never forget.

Once there, they were far from ordinary tourists. After a stay in New York and a visit to Kennedy International School, they spent four days hosted by American families in Providence, Rhode Island. They experienced firsthand what daily life is like for young people their age — sharing meals, attending classes alongside their hosts, and discovering their hobbies and family outings. These are often the moments that leave the deepest mark, as they spark genuine friendships across languages and cultures.

This exchange is the result of a long-standing partnership with Kennedy International School and FASRI (French American School of Rhode Island). This marks the third year this remarkable experience has taken place. What stands out year after year is how quickly bonds form — not only between the students, but between families too — because the shared educational values create an immediate foundation of trust and warmth.

In early May, it was FASRI’s turn to visit us, accompanied by their head of school and French teacher. It was a wonderful opportunity to continue this cultural exchange and strengthen the friendships between students from both schools.
