Quan Nguyen
Enseignante anglophone en maternelle
I began my teaching journey at a Dutch-Vietnamese non-profitable organisation, caring for children in various shelters across Saigon, Vietnam. Through this experience, I developed a deep passion for working with children – something I take great pride in. I have almost 10 years of experience working with children across a wide range of educational settings.
For the past 2 years, I have worked in bilingual French-English schools in Saigon and in Rome, fostering language development and cross-cultural learning in multilingual
classroom environments.
I have a great interest in learning languages and have earned a second bachelor’s degree in French literature. This experience has provided me with valuable insight into the challenges children encounter in a bilingual environment. To further my expertise in education, I am pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
My teaching philosophy centers around autonomous learning. I firmly believe that educators should not simply impart knowledge but rather facilitate children’s thinking and problem-solving skills by encouraging discovery, interdisciplinary projects and outdoor learning.
Teaching children from an early age the importance of community, collaboration, and positive contribution helps them develop a strong sense of social responsibility.
