Laure Berr
Head of School - Pré Faucon
A strong international dimension has shaped Laure’s career; it is the theme of her professional journey. She began her career as a primary school teacher in France, followed by the Netherlands, Northern Europe, notably in Stockholm, Sweden and Ireland, and most recently in San Francisco, United States.
These repeated experiences, at the heart of diverse and demanding educational systems, have enabled her to develop a deep understanding of the challenges of international education. In particular, she has gained sound expertise in the implementation of international bilingual programs that combine academic rigour with educational innovation.
In 2015, she joined the founding team of the Lycée International de Londres to establish and coordinate its bilingual program. Her dedication and educational vision led to her appointment as Head of the Primary School in 2017. This role provided her with a valuable opportunity to channel her passion for educational innovation into an ambitious project focused on academic excellence within an environment she strove to make both challenging and supportive.
Within this forward-thinking context, Laure notably led the opening of Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten bilingual immersion classes, thereby strengthening the coherence and quality of the linguistic schooling for the youngest learners.
After more than twenty years of experience abroad, Laure chose to settle in Annecy with her family. She is eager to bring her expertise, energy, and vision to the service of EBIHS and its team, and contribute to its development and outreach.
Alongside her professional responsibilities, Laure is also the mother of two boys, with whom she shares her passion for art, travel, cultural discovery, and an open-minded attitude to the world.
