Jane Sceales

Enseignante au collège : Anglais, Histoire- Géographie, Art, Théâtre et Musique.
I grew up in London and developed a passion for teaching from an early age, having graduated as a sailing instructor at the age of 16. I spent much of my youth on the south coast of England, practicing water sports and enjoying the beauty of the countryside.
Since then I have taught sailing and English in the UK, America, France, Ireland and Sri Lanka. I love reading and sharing stories from around the world with my students. I studied English and obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Belfast, then completed a master’s degree in publishing at the University College of London. I worked in children’s publishing in London, trying to encourage the love of reading among younger generations.
My work in children’s publishing, combined with my experience as a sailing teacher, led me to pursue a career in teaching. I have a postgraduate degree in education and started teaching English at an Isle of Wight school.
I then moved to Morzine, the ski resort, in September 2019. Since then, I dedicate my time to teaching English, and in my spare time to skiing and walking my dogs
I am passionate about developing trusting relationships with students and creating a positive, motivating class culture.
