Angélique Beauvais
Enseignante francophone en élémentaire
I grew up and started my teaching career near Paris.
In 2005, after only two years of teaching in France, my husband and I relocated to the other side of the world and settled in Australia. We packed our suitcases and started a new life in the multicultural city of Melbourne.
I taught in several year levels during my fifteen years at the French school (Caulfield Junior College) in a bilingual system, where I collaborated with and worked alongside an English-speaking counterpart.
Throughout my career, I have also held various positions in educational coordination. I worked as team leader for Cycle 2, and then Literacy coordinator, before taking on the role of Learning Specialist.
With these wonderful experiences under my belt, I worked on the development of bilingual tools and resources, particularly in writing and reading. I am passionate about the way bilingual students learn and I strive to get them engaged every day in their learning. I pay close attention to the consistency of learning, student support, and collaborative work within teams.
We lived in Vancouver for one year with our two children, both born in Australia. I was lucky enough to teach at the French school. Thanks to this experience in Canada, we discovered and fell in love with the mountains. This is the main reason why we have decided to settle in the beautiful city of Annecy in 2023.
