Enseignante anglophone en maternelle

I was born in “Mid-Wales” and was fortunate to grow up in a very rural area, exploring the fields and climbing trees with my siblings.

After high school, I went to study French and German in Liverpool. As part of my studies, I completed a six-month internship in Stuttgart and another of the same duration in Ardèche. It consolidated my love for France and I knew that I would have to go back one day.

In my final year at university, I volunteered to be a tutor in a program that provided individualized support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them succeed in school. This experience was supposed to confirm my taste for teaching and I have never regretted it.

After a year in Scotland in a program to help students with special needs, I prepared a teaching degree, the “PGCE”. I completed my studies in Cardiff where I gained experience in a large number of schools.

Then I went back to Mid-Wales, where I taught in a small rural school. I have worked in classes at several levels and I really enjoyed building a close relationship with the students and seeing them develop over a period of two years, both academically and socially.

A new professional and personal adventure took shape when my husband and I moved to France with the opportunity to work at EBiHS.
