Andrea Del Pico

Secondary school teacher
I’m a Spanish teacher and native speaker with a passion for languages and intercultural exchange. With a degree in Translation and Interpretation, specializing in English and French into Spanish, I had the opportunity to broaden my training internationally, notably at The University of Sheffield (UK) and Concordia University (Montreal, Canada).
These immersive experiences enabled me to better understand the impact of foreign languages on our thought processes and way of life, particularly with regard to their social and cultural aspect. It is this approach that I strive to integrate into my teaching, particularly with plurilingual learners.
In 2019, I graduated with an honors degree in International Intensification, then in 2020, I further specialized my training through a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Translation while pursuing another Master’s Degree in didactics of Spanish as a foreign language and literature at the University of Jaén. It was after this period that I started teaching in several schools in Haute-Savoie, which marked the beginning of my teaching career. I then worked for several years with the Université Jean Monnet de Saint-Étienne, where I also worked as an examiner for the official DELE Spanish diplomas.
