A Morning of Christmas Magic at the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard

Last week, our Petite and Moyenne Section classes experienced a magical Christmas morning at the Château de Menthon, where the festive spirit came alive in a setting straight out of a fairy tale.

From the moment they arrived, the children were immersed in the magic of the season. They explored the beautiful gardens surrounding the château and enjoyed the ice rink. Sliding on the ice was one of the morning’s highlights, bringing lots of laughter and excitement.
Inside the château, the children were welcomed into the magnificent library, where they listened attentively to a Christmas story read by Mère Noël. Inspired by the Christmas Star, the story gently spoke about patience and waiting, adding a touch of warmth and meaning to this festive moment.

Another very special part of the visit was the activity involving the letters to Santa. Each child took the time to “write” their own message, filled with imagination and hope. The letters were then carefully posted into Santa’s mailbox, a moment that felt both exciting and magical for everyone.

This visit was not all about lessons or objectives, but about sharing joy, wonder, and the simple magic of Christmas. Surrounded by the beauty of the château and the enchantment of the season, the children created precious memories that will stay with them long after the holidays.
