Dance, Move, Feel the Vibe: An African-Rhythms Christmas at EBIHS

Just before the excitement of the Christmas holidays, kindergarten students enjoyed a festive and inspiring moment thanks to a performance featuring African rhythms. This wonderful event was put on by the ATPA, our parents’ association, which plays a vital role in bringing energy and vitality to the EBIHS community. A few days earlier, elementary school students also had the opportunity to attend the performance, allowing everyone to share a common artistic experience.

This performance fit perfectly with this year’s theme, The Body, Movement, and Dance. It was a lively and immersive moment that sparked curiosity, enthusiasm, and active engagement among the children.

The lively and heartfelt performance was presented by the association Youbadance. Well known within EBIHS, Youbadance is active in the extracurricular clubs, offering musical awakening sessions for kindergarten pupils, as well as street dance and African dance for elementary students. Based in Annecy, the association currently includes three musician-artists, as well as Youba, a teacher, choreographer, and dancer, whose passion and dedication shine through in every session.

Both the students and the teachers greatly appreciated this special event. Everyone extends heartfelt thanks to the ATPA for this initiative, which beautifully combined artistic discovery, enjoyment, and educational relevance. It will remain a cherished shared memory during this Christmas season.
