Brianne Duffy

Enseignante anglophone en élémentaire
My husband and I left the United States in June 2024 to settle in Annecy. This is my first time living abroad and I could not be more excited about being part of the EBiHS team.
My passion for teaching and sharing experiences with young people began when I was a summer camp instructor at the age of 14. I studied high school education and biology at the University of Rhode Island, where I graduated in 2013. Then I moved to Seattle, Washington, where I developed and facilitated open-air science education programs for students aged 4 through 5. This is where my love for the outdoors (climbing, hiking and mountain) really grew.
In 2016, I moved to Salt Lake City where I started teaching science at college. In 2023, I earned a master’s degree in educational management from the University of Utah.
As a teacher, I am passionate about experience-based learning, discussion and discovery. I have supported the academic and emotional development of students at all levels. My approach to learning is to consider students as full-fledged individuals and to respond to their individual needs in order to foster their individual and collective success. With 10 years of experience in the field of education, I am looking forward to evolving as a professional here in France.
I spend much of my free time running, walking my dog, reading and learning French!
