Vanessa Pouzoulet
I grew up in Nice in the south of France where I benefited from a bilingual (French and English) and bicultural upbringing with American and French parents. After finishing my studies in Business and Management at Skema Business School, I decided to start my career in Singapore. After 9 years in the finance and banking industry, I changed careers as I wanted to work in Education, a field about which I have always felt passionate.
I joined an international school in Singapore where I worked for 4 years while working toward a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with the University of Nottingham. I started teaching French as a Foreign Language to students aged 3 to 11. After this, I joined the school’s French-English bilingual program teaching in both languages in Primary classes.
In 2021, our family of 4 decided to move to Annecy. After this move, I worked in an international school in Geneva, teaching in mixed-age classes where students could learn at their own pace and outdoor learning was an important part of the curriculum.
My interests, amongst many others, are teaching Creative Writing, Digital Literacy and Math. My experiences include teaching children with special needs and differentiating for a class of students with different backgrounds and language levels.
