Growing up in Chamonix to British parents, I benefited from a bilingual, bicultural upbringing and spent my childhood surrounded by the great outdoors. My formative years involved rushing between the ice rink and the ski slopes, and I developed an early taste for coaching sports and working with younger competitors.
I went through the French educational system until the age of eighteen before moving to the United Kingdom to study French and Arabic at the University of Exeter. In order to share my passion for languages with others, I passed my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2015. This enabled me to teach English as a Foreign Language and begin my teaching journey. After university, I combined my love for teaching with my experience coaching sport by qualifying as a ski instructor in New Zealand.
After my travels, I wanted to bring my energy back into the classroom.
I did a PGCE (UK teaching diploma) in Primary Education at the University of Roehampton in London; during this time, I taught the English National Curriculum across the primary setting.
Since my PGCE, I have come back home to France. I have worked in Geneva, specialising in teaching English to young learners. I settled in Annecy in 2021 and am delighted to continue my career at EBiHS from the beginning of the school year 2022.
