I am an American, but spent my childhood in Asia, on a beautiful island called Taiwan. I attended an international school there and it is where I found my passion for sport and other cultures.
After high school, I moved to California and attended Biola University, where I studied physical education. I had always loved participating in sports, but also found it fulfilling to impart this knowledge to those wanting to grow and gain experience. When I finished my degree, I spent a year teaching sport and history in a private school in Los Angeles. Then wanting to continue my education, I did a physical education teaching internship through California State University Fullerton. I worked at a public primary school in Orange County, California, where I learned a lot from a great mentor and the intensive program. During the summers, I also worked for an outdoor program where I found a love for rock climbing, backpacking etc.
As I enjoy working with children, other cultures, and the mountains (and all its outdoor activities), I decided to move near the French Alps as an Au pair. I worked with a wonderful family, but found that I wanted to teach again and looked for opportunities within France and found Ecole Bilingue. I am excited to work with the new college students this year and hope to help them discover activities, games, and sports that they can use for enjoyment and to keep themselves healthy and active.
