Emma Parker
I grew up in Devon in the South West of England, an area surrounded by beautiful seas and countryside. As a child, I was lucky to spend several summer holidays in Switzerland, hiking and enjoying the stunning scenery. This is where I developed my love for the mountains!
I relocated to France in September 2020 following a new job opportunity in Geneva for my husband. I have 3 girls aged 15, 12 and 10!
I was a very keen dancer from a young age and this was one of the reasons I chose to pursue this subject at university. After completing my BA (Hons) in Dance at the University of Wolverhampton, I spent a year working in international schools teaching at Summer, Spring and Winter camps in Switzerland and France.
This teaching experience inspired me to gain formal teaching qualification so, I then graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance with a Postgraduate Certificate of Education with Qualified Teaching Status (PGCE QTS).
I have taught the English National Curriculum in Vocational, Secondary and Primary schools in the UK. Before relocating to France, I worked in an Infant school teaching children aged between 4 and 6. I enjoy helping each child learn values and understand the world around them. I love to see each child grow in confidence and develop his / her gross and fine motor skills as they progress on their educational journey. I always ensure that a safe, stimulating learning environment is created as it is essential for the growth and development of each child.
