Brianne Duffy
My husband and I moved to Annecy from the United States in June 2024. This is my first time living abroad and I could not be more excited to join the EBiHS team.
My passion for teaching and sharing experiences with youths began as a camp counselor when I was 14 years old.
I studied Secondary Education and Biology at the University of Rhode Island and graduated in 2013.
Upon graduating, I moved to Seattle, Washington where I developed and facilitated outdoor science education programs for CM1-CM2 aged students. This is where my love for the outdoors — climbing, backpacking, hiking, and being in the mountains — truly developed. In 2016, I moved to Salt Lake City, UT where I began teaching Middle School Science. In 2023, I obtained my Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of Utah.
As a teacher, I am passionate about experiential, discussion-based, and discovery-based learning. I have supported the academic and emotional growth of students of all abilities. My approach to learning is rooted in seeing students as a whole person, and meeting their individual needs to support their individual, and communal success. With 10 years of experience in the field of Education, I am eager to grow as a professional here in France.
I spend much of my freetime running, walking my dog, reading, and learning French!
