The Butterflies Enjoy Some Outdoor Learning

The Butterfly Class took a walk to the forest near the Espace Rencontre.

The children engaged in a variety of outdoor learning opportunities to develop fine and gross motor skills, creativity and language.

The children build dens, made faces out of natural clay and explored their environment by playing nature bingo. The children enjoyed the experience immensely remarking about the birds they could hear singing, the smells they could smell and the delightfully sticky, muddy things they could touch and squelch.

The children work with the teacher to make faces for the trees from natural clay. “It is sticky,” they say.
