Isabelle Gosselin

Primary school French teacher

I was born in Quebec, in the beautiful region of Bas Saint-Laurent. As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to become a teacher. First of all, because learning is an integral part of my life but also an adventure where I never know the final destination; the possibilities are endless! Whether through teaching at school or through reading, traveling, communicating with others, or sharing, we are lifelong learners.

In 2004, I completed a Masters in Education at the University of Quebec at Rimouski. Then, I decided to continue my education by completing a D.E.S.S. geared to helping and providing better support to students with special needs.

I’m an open-minded and passionate person who likes to take on challenges. So, when I met my Haut-Savoyard husband in 2016, I quit my teaching job and sold my house in Quebec to discover the lovely region of Annecy.

In teaching, I’m particularly interested in neurosciences, in children’s literature and Math Education. Moreover, my thirteen years of teaching experience has confirmed my belief in the importance of creating a relationship based on trust with my students as well as offering them tools to help develop their full potential.

I am therefore delighted to join the EBIHS team, a school which pursues bilingualism, sharing and being open to the world, which are all core values to me.
