Audrey Moore

Kindergarten teacher (native English speaker)

I grew up in Canada, on the border between Quebec and Ontario, in an area where French and English come together on a daily basis.

I graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelors of Education Degree in 2014. I then taught different Kindergarten and Elementary level classes in Quebec for 5 years, all the while spending my summers traveling (often in Europe as its mountains already seemed to be calling me).

In 2019, I decided to combine these two passions by taking part in a professional exchange program between France and Quebec. I swapped my classroom with an Education Nationale teacher from Savoie and fell in love with the region, its landscape and the many sports that the mountains allow. On a professional level, I was fascinated to see how much of children’s learning process is universal, but also how our differences are a powerful tool to support learning. When the exchange program ended, I wanted to continue exploring this and chose to stay in Haute-Savoie rather than return to Quebec. I am delighted to join the EBiHS team to keep this learning adventure going!
